Integration

The Maintenix® software has been developed specifically to solve the unique problems of aviation maintenance management. As a "best-of-breed" product, it has been designed for ease of integration with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs) and other corporate information systems in order to provide a complete solution for all of our clients' business requirements.

larger version

In addition to allowing interaction with ERPs and other modern corporate systems, the integration capability of Maintenix enables interfaces to legacy systems already in place within a client's organization. This makes it possible for Maintenix customers to keep using their existing systems in conjunction with Maintenix or to implement Maintenix in a phased approach rather than replacing many legacy systems at once.

The integration of Maintenix with external systems is accomplished using the Mxi "Maintenix® Integration Adapters" and technologies such as XML, J2EE Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs), and Web Services. These Integration Adapters are designed to provide an out-of-the-box integration layer that is often used to plug directly into external systems, or they may be used to provide the basis for a custom integration. These Adapters are product-supported with manuals and an upgrade path, and are licensed separately as "add-ons" to the core Maintenix product.

Highlights

Interfaces between Maintenix® and other systems have been successfully implemented at many customer sites.

For example, for the US Navy, Mxi integrated Maintenix with several systems, including Boeing's Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and the F/A-18 on-board data acquisition system. Together, these systems form a seamless automated maintenance environment.

For more information about Mxi's work with the US Navy or other customers, request any of our case studies.
