Business Consulting

Prior to the implementation of the Maintenix® system, Mxi undertakes an in-depth analysis of each client's business and maintenance processes. This effort:

  • Allows the Mxi maintenance engineering experts to provide consulting advice on business process improvements and maintenance best practices
  • Ensures that the Mxi implementation team has a thorough understanding of the unique requirements for a given customer

This analysis is typically conducted on-site at the client's maintenance and operations facilities, in cooperation with representatives from the client's management, IT, and end-user groups.

The consulting services provided by Mxi consist of the following types of activities:

  • Customer Requirements Analysis: Mxi analyzes and documents the client's business processes and IT environment to determine the specific requirements for their Maintenix implementation, including assessing existing corporate systems for possible integration with Maintenix. A thorough review of the customer's existing business processes not only helps to define the Maintenix solution requirements, it also allows Mxi consultants to offer suggested process improvements based on maintenance best practices.
  • Solution Design: Next, we design a Maintenix solution to address the client's unique needs, as identified in the customer analysis. Maintenix can be adapted to suit the customer's business processes through its extensive data-driven configurability - the same configurability that enables the software to be applicable to any aircraft type. The result of this task is that the client feels comfortable in their understanding of how the defined Maintenix solution meets their maintenance process and information system needs.
  • Project Planning: Working together with the client, Mxi defines the required tasks and schedule for the solution delivery and implementation project, including any necessary assumptions and constraints.
  • Data Definition: This task involves working in cooperation with the client on activities such as defining equipment configurations and importing maintenance plans, usage reports, organization plans and reference terms. Then, test cases are planned, designed, and executed to verify the configured solution and data definitions.

In addition to consulting with customers on business processes and best practices, Mxi offers Maintenix implementation & configuration services and integration with other enterprise applications. Mxi can also provide data-conversion services to assist clients with the migration of maintenance and inventory data from existing legacy systems operated by the customer into Maintenix. To facilitate business process transformation and a smooth transition to the new Maintenix system, Mxi provides consulting on change enablement within the customer’s organization.
